Devdas is a remake of a classic hindi movie, it is also a masterpiece on its own. Whenever there is a remake, there definitely will be comparisons of the two versions. In case of Devdas, some people think the older version is better. But I think otherwise. I think
Shahrukh khan, as well as
Madhuri and
Aishwarya have given their best performances ever. The movie is great from every angle you look at it; the music, acting, direction and every other thing is great. That is something you can't deny. It is directed by
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and its music is by
Ismail Darbar who has done an excellent job.
